Tumbler Media is the abrasive for mass finishing. It grinds away burrs and lines on a metallic surface. There are many options for tumbler media.
Built in a heavy duty construction with a smaller footprint designed to accommodate a job shop with various applications such as deburring, dross removal, calibrating/dimensioning, edge radiusing or finishing.
Gulf States Saw & Machinery Co., Inc.’s line of print finishing support products includes paper joggers, pressure sealers, drills, and everything needed for the ultimate finishing system.
Gulf States Saw & Machinery Co., Inc. tabletop folding folders are perfect for small offices, schools, or corporate environments. Automatic programmable models save fold programs in memory, and can be set-up to run at the touch a button.
There are two options when it comes to choosing a metalworking machine. One is wet and one is dry. Both machines perform the same tasks using different methods. While wet machines use coolant to spread onto the surface, dry machines work without it.
Speed and versatility are the hallmarks of Gulf States Saw & Machinery Co., Inc. bookletmakers and finishing systems. Our Sprint series models enjoy a solid reputation in the print finishing industry for performance and dependability. The revolutionary SF2 bookletmaker utilizes wire-fed stitching technology previously found only in larger systems costing up to three times more.
The FC 10 offers a wide range of performance-enhancing options. Corner stapler attachments can staple up to 10 sheets per minute. For easy mobility, the heavy-duty base can be mounted on casters. Underwriters Laboratories Canada and the US have certified FC 10
The versatile centrifugal barrel finish machine can be used in many industries for metal finishing.
Mass finishing using a centrifugal tumbler barrel can be done wet or dry. Wet processes may use a liquid solvent, cleaner, or abrasive. Dry processes do not. Each barrel can be filled with approximately 50 to 80% of its capacity using the following elements:
Mass finishing is a set of manufacturing processes that applies surface finishing to large quantities of parts simultaneously. In mass finishing, loose metal parts are placed in a container, and the motion of the container creates friction on the metal surface. This friction results in a cutting action on the metal surface, which can vary from heavy grinding to fine polishing.
No matter how many steps your process has, each step must always be completed separately. Deburring and polishing cannot be done simultaneously. Instead, you should deburr first, and then polish. If more than 1 step is needed, the steps should be performed in ascending ordescending order of smoothness. For example, polishing first and deburring last.
As a general rule, darker media cuts more quickly than lighter ones. If the material is very dark, it is likely that it will be fast-cutting using a more aggressive tool. It is more likely that lighter media will be used for mildly abrasive finishing of mass.
Whether your application requires compact systems to complete smaller deburring projects or larger, heavy-duty models to complete several shifts and facilitate large-scale production, we’ll help you locate the right machine for nearly any metalworking process.
Centrifugal barrel turners are a unique type of barrel tumblers. They use centrifugal force to add to the effects.
Metal finishing is the process of altering an object's surface in order to improve its appearance and/or durability. Metal finishing is related to electroplating, which is the electrodeposition of a thin surface coating of metal onto another.
The law of attraction between positively and negatively charged particles underpins the finishing technique of applying a coating to a metal surface. The paint is usually positively charged, while the support to be painted is negatively charged because it is wired to a strong electric field.
The Inovatec Automatic Surface Finishing Machine has a PLC control system that allows you to control the entire surface finishing process. It is a completely automated and labor-saving solution. Suitable for deburring and polishing a large batch of small parts at once.
